Ushers/Ambassadors Ministry of New Israelite Family Worship Center

"I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness".  Psalm 84:10b

The Ushers/Greeters Ministry of The New Israelite Family Worship Center, operates under the leadership of Elder Valerie Diggs.  Elder Valerie serves with genuine humility and a clear understanding that ushering and greeting are not just auxiliary roles - they are ministers of service unto God.

Her guiding principle of the team is:  "You must first understand that you are a servant, and then recognize that you are also a minister."  With this mindset, the Ushers and Greeters are entrusted with creating an atmosphere of warmth, welcome, and belonging for all who enter to worship.

Their duty is simple yet profound - to serve with grace, not to be servile, but to reflect the love and order of God in every act of hospitality.

Sister Nina Graves

President, Usher/Greeters Ministry

"Through the Wilderness I have been renewed, restored, and have much hope"

Hosea 2:14-15 (NIV)

Sister Nina Graves became a member of The New Israelite Family Worship Center on January 28th, 2024.

She was formerly a member of True Foundation Apostolic Church, where she faithfully served under the leadership of her late Pastor and mother, Rev. Rebecca Tarpley, until her passing in 2006.

Known for her warm spirit and love for people, Sister Nina has always had a heart for serving others.  Ushering is her passion - she finds joy in welcoming God's people with love and a smile.

She recalls telling Bishop Jerry Diggs, her current pastor, "It's like going to the barbershop - if you keep hanging around long enough, you'll eventually get a haircut."  In her case she says, she kept coming and enjoying the services of the Lord, and now, "Look at God!  Eventually my status changed to member."

Sister Nina firmly believes that "the wilderness isn't punishment, it's preparation.".  Her journey is a testimony of faith, perseverance, and purpose.
